Pre-conference field trip

Jiguanshan porphyry Mo deposit and Chaihulanzi lode Au deposit in the Chifeng city, North China

  Brief introduction:

The Jiguanshan Mo deposit (100Mt Mo @0.08%), located about 35 km NE of Chifeng city in the Xilamulun metallogenic belt, is a classic example of high-F porphyry Mo mineralization, hosted by granitic porphyry, and minor in lithic tuff and rhyolitic rocks.

The Chaihulanzi gold deposit is located ~40 km west of Chifeng City. It is one of three major gold deposits (Honghuagou, Lianhuashan, and Chaihulanzi) occurring in the western part of the Chifeng-Beipiao gold-concentration region. The mineralizing zone is approximately 700 m in strike length, and obtained a proven reserve of 10t Au metal with average ~5 g/t gold.

Participants will have an opportunity to observe mineralization, alteration, structure and wallrocks.

  Fieldwork agenda:
2018-9-11, Leaving Beijing to Chifeng City, Inner Mogolian by bus, about 400km.
  2018-9-12, Visiting Jiguanshan Mo deposit.
  2018-9-13, Visit Chaihulanzi Au deposit.
2018-9-14, Leaving Chifeng City back to Beijing.
The fieldtrip fee can be paid in the morning of July 11. Expected all expenses (traffic, accommodation and foods) for the fieldtrip:
  US $ 400 or RMB ¥ 2600, Accompany person US $ 200 or RMB ¥1300.

Conference communication type

Invited speakers (25 min report + 5 min for questions),
Normal oral presentations (15 min report + 5 min for questions)
Poster presentations (120 cm long × 90 cm wide)
Each presenter can display 1-2 posters

Abstract format

The text should be written as Arial regular font size 10. Your abstract should fit into one column and can be a maximum of two pages. Note that the formatted page length is Letter 8.5” x 11” (do not submit your abstract as A4). Any figures or tables that you include must also fit within the page margins of this template. We reserve the right to eliminate text and/or figures to properly format your abstract to the required two page 8.5” x 11” format, and to edit the abstract for grammar. Any references must also fit into the two page format. Please do not use any headers (i.e., do not use Introduction, Background, etc.; these waste space). References should be provided as shown in the example.

Abstracts must be submitted as Word files not exceeding 10 MB in size. Please name your file according to the following convention: lastname_initial_abstract.doc and then e-mail your abstract to acrofi7@mail.iggcas.ac.cn.
